James Cook University Written Applications are due on the 30th of September. This is a rural based university with a focus on tropical and chronic disease dentistry: a complex and evolving issue for students to answer in a written form.
There is very high weight on the written application for successful application to James Cook University - a dental school that does not take to account your UCAT score.

Dr Brad Guo MBBS MMed has extensive experience with the JCU written application. He has reviewed over 100 successful applications over the past few years with a very high interview success rate.
Dr Guo is an advanced trainee in ophthalmic surgery, associate clinical lecturer for Adelaide Medical School and conjoint clinical lecturer for UNSW Medical School.
He will be offering a limited number of students (15 per year) an opportunity to work on their application privately. The aim will be to prepare an individualised application that will be successful getting an interview invitation to JCU.
Registered students will be contacted in 2-3 working days with an information package to commence the preparation of the written application.
The phases of training will include:
Student CV review
Consultation and clear direction about structure for each response
1st draft revision, including detailed commentary and direct edits
2nd draft detailed commentary ensure all feedback has been appropriately responded
Final check prior to submission, including review of referees reports. Students may submit as many drafts as required until the written application is ready for sending.
